The Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival is a show-case for the amazing abundance, variety and quality of food and drink available in East Suffolk and beyond – but it can also be bought on a daily or weekly basis in our shops and markets. In order to help you find the best of our local food, we have listed them below.

Towns or villages with a market have an *asterisk beside them.

Fresh produce is always good value – and much of our seasonal, traditional food and drink with a local provenance can only be found in our small shops and markets.The butchers listed below are among the best in England. They all sell high quality local meat and a wide range of cuts and products, often unavailable in the supermarket. When you buy local beef and lamb, you are helping maintain the Suffolk landscape and wildlife reserves where many of these animals graze.
