Snape Marshes Guided Walk |

Experience Suffolk Wildlife Trust's newest reserve. Lying on the north bank of the River Alde, between Snape Maltings and the village of Snape, the Marshes are rich in a mix of wetland habitat, including grazing marshes, reedbed, scrub and woodland. Join Mick Wright, warden of this significant reserve for an informal guided walk and discover why this piece of land is an exciting step towards our goal of a living landscape.

A look at how the food producers of the past have shaped today's landscape. A minimum of 3 miles. Please wear comfortable and suitable footwear for uneven terrain and a waterproof (just in case!). Well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome as are under 16s if accompanied by an adult.

Meet at Newton Farm, Orford for coffee and a Bracken Biscuit then walk to Butley Creek for a tour and talk of Pinney’s smokehouse before returning to Orford for lunch at the Butley Orford Oysterage.
