Rooted in our home of Southwold in Suffolk, we have always been proud to ‘do different’ and do it well. We brew great beer from the finest ingredients; have a number of Adnams Cellar & Kitchen Stores; own two popular hotels in Southwold and have a tied estate of 75 pubs throughout East Anglia and one in London.

  Aldeburgh Music

Aldeburgh Music is an internationally renowned performance centre with the nurturing of talent at its heart. The centrepiece of the Aldeburgh calendar is the Aldeburgh Festival in June, founded in 1948 by the composer Benjamin Britten, singer Peter Pears and writer Eric Crozier.

Aldeburgh today hosts a year-round programme of events including the Easter Festival, the Snape Proms every August, and a number of opportunities for artists at all stages of their careers that feed into the performance calendar. These include the UK’s most extensive training programme for young professional musicians, the Britten–Pears Young Artist Programme; Aldeburgh Young Musicians, for exceptionally talented 8–18 year olds; a long established, pioneering education programme with strong links to Suffolk schools; and Aldeburgh Residencies, a chance for artists to experiment, explore new ground and be inspired by this very special place.
