Brand new for 2013 we have a dedicated Bread Zone at the Festival. You'll find bread making workshops from the area's leading bakers, talks from the Real Bread Campaign and the Marriage's Bread Making Competition, as well as a fascinating display from the Woodbridge Tide Mill.
Another new experience at this year's Festival is An Intimate Taste of Life. A chance to savour the season and enliven the senses with sips and taste-bites of vibrant foods harvested from living soils. Bringing alive the vital connections between the wellbeing of our bodies and the health of our planet.
An Intimate Taste of Life is a collaboration between Miche Fabre Lewin, Flora Gathorne-Hardy of Touchstone Collaborations and Daphne Lambert of the Green Cuisine Trust. This is an opportunity to taste food which links the well-being of the body and the health of the planet in a welcoming, inspiring space inviting conversation around becoming a food citizen rather than a food consumer.
Visit Miche, Flora and Daphne in the House & Garden Courtyard all day on Saturday 28th or listen to them on the Marquee Stage at 12.15 when they'll be talking to Sheila Dillon about the relationship between human health, vital soils, resilient communities and ecosystems and how these interconnections impact on food security.
