Born in Whanganui, New Zealand, Peter Gordon is renowned for his unique style and frequently cited as the godfather of fusion cuisine. He has set up kitchens in London (The Providores and Tapa Room) and Auckland (Bellota and The Sugar Club), and has won an outstanding collection of awards, such as Time Out awards for Best Modern Restaurant and Best Central London Restaurant. Peter has written numerous articles, 8 cookbooks and appeared in several television shows. He also helps raise money for charities through events such as Who’s Cooking Dinner? which has raised over £6m to date for leukaemia. He was awarded an ONZM (OBE equivalent) in 2009 by HM The Queen for his services to the food industry.
